Gearing up for NECC 2006 in San Diego, CA
The NECC 2006 Conference July 5-7 in San Diego is just around the corner! I’ve yet to make my rental car reservations.
I’m very honored to be part of the contributors to the official blogging and podcasting section of the NECC web site. The honor is further magnified by being in the company on the same page of long-time contributors to the field of educational computing – David Warlick, Will Richardson and Steve Dembo.
This will be my second time attending NECC. I think I’ll try NOT to do everything this time around. My list of things to attend is still quite long, but I’ll trim it down when I see the final list of presentations and other goodies.
These are the general themes I’d like to attend/participate in (in order of preference):
- Handheld computers – specifically PALM
- Open Source – specifically LINUX K12LTSP and Moodle
- Mac
- Blogging
- Podcasting
- Vodcasting
I think these six themes might even be too much — I’ll decide which sessions to attend when I get there.
(This blog and my photo blog in SplashBlog are listed on the official NECC web site – from the blogging and podcasting link on the main page. Here’s a direct link to the list: http://center.uoregon.edu/ISTE/NECC2006/glance/blogging_podcasting.php).
